This summer, we had an amazing opportunity to work with the Clatskanie Farmer Collective to document their vibrant Garlic Festival Farmer Market. As a team passionate about local culture and community, we aimed to capture the heart of the market—showcasing fresh produce, food culture, and the hard-working farmers who bring organic products to our tables.
The Garlic Festival Farmer Market was full of energy, with vendors displaying their aromatic offerings. The atmosphere buzzed with friendly faces, laughter, and the delightful scent of garlic delicacies. With over 30 vendors selling items like garlic braids, locally made products, and fresh vegetables, every stall told a unique story. Our goal was to memorialize these moments—the joy of shopping local, the thrill of discovering unique produce, and the camaraderie between visitors and vendors.
In August, we directed our attention to the anual Farm to Table Dinner, this year, hosted at Pippin Stock Farm. This event celebrated the direct connection between local growers and the culinary excellence that comes from fresh ingredients. The evening kicked off with friendly conversations and local Jun, paired with live music in the shade next to a cool babbling creek. Over 40 attendees gathered, sharing stories and building connections in a warm community setting.
After mingling, we embarked on a brief tour of the stunning Pippin Stock Farm. The charm of the surroundings perfectly complemented the exquisite dishes served that evening. Each course was artfully prepared with fresh, local ingredients, showcasing the skills of talented local chefs.
In the words of Jasmine Lillich, Director of the Clatskanie Farmer Collective:
