At Lost Locals Media, we thrive on projects that celebrate local culture and economy. Recently, we had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Keep It Local Columbia County, a program under the Columbia Economic Team dedicated to boosting Columbia County, Oregon's local economy by encouraging residents and visitors to engage with local businesses and attractions.

The Projects:

  • Columbia County App Commercial

Our first project was to help bring attention to the NEW Columbia County App. This app is designed to be a one-stop resource for everything Columbia County has to offer:

  • Business Directory: An extensive listing of local businesses.

  • Events Calendar: Keep up to date with all local happenings.

  • Trails and Attractions: Explore the natural and cultural gems of the area.

We were tasked with organizing, filming, and editing a commercial to market this innovative app. Our aim was to capture the essence of Columbia County, showcasing how this app can enhance the local experience for both residents and tourists.

  • Capturing Columbia County's Beauty

The second project involved creating a visual gallery to complement the app's marketing efforts. We ventured out to capture high-quality images from both ground and aerial perspectives, highlighting the stunning landscapes of Columbia County. These images not only serve to promote the app but also to:

  • Engage Local Audience: By featuring well-known local spots, we aimed to resonate with the community.

  • Attract Tourists: Showcasing the beauty and diversity of the county to entice visitors.

  • New Profile Pics!

The third project involved creating high-quality studio headshots for the Columbia Economic Team. This enabled CET team members to have headshots that aligned with their brand.

The Columbia Economic Team also sponsored and organized a Free Headshot event, for us to offer local entrepreneurs and individuals the chance to update their professional headshots.

The Outcome

We are extremely proud of the outcomes of all the projects. The commercial has been successful, effectively conveying the utility and excitement of the new app, while our image gallery has helped highlight the scenic attractions of Columbia County, and our headshots provided a professional appearance to our local community.

Here's what Sierra Trass, Director of Keep It Local Columbia County, had to say about our collaboration:

"Lost Locals Media is a fantastic business to work with, with stunning quality, and I would highly recommend you to work with them. (Just a look at any of their content proves they do beautiful work!) I have worked with them on video, website, and photography projects and have been thrilled with the results. For instance, they helped me create a video to advertise our tourism/business directory app, in both a reel and long form format, and it was gorgeous. I love their color edits and drone shots. We’ve also had them take landscape photos before, headshots photos for our team and community members, and they helped us make a website page for the Clatskanie and Rainier Chambers (to be launched soon). In all our projects, it’s been smooth to work with them and the results are always high quality. I highly recommend Sophia, Cade, and Lost Locals Media. Go check out their work, you’ll see what I mean!"
